Existence is Resistance – Fashion Forecasting

"Existence is Resistance" is a forecasting project I developed with a group of four others to explore fashion as a tool for activism, identity, and resilience. I wanted to examine how clothing goes beyond aesthetics—it’s a statement, a form of protest, and a means of empowerment, especially for marginalized communities.

Through this project, I researched historical and contemporary movements where fashion has been used to challenge oppression and spark conversation. I analyzed emerging trends in sustainable and ethical fashion, the rise of political messaging in streetwear, and the impact of digital activism on consumer behavior. By curating mood boards, material explorations, and predictive insights, I mapped out a future where fashion continues to serve as a form of resistance and self-expression.

For me, this project is deeply personal—it reflects my passion for storytelling through design and my belief that fashion has the power to create meaningful change.
